Feelgood documentary following the story of two Australians who bought a lion cub in Harrods in 1969. While running a furniture store on the King’s Road during the swinging sixties, Anthony Bourke and John Rendall purchased the cub from the upmarket department store, which at the time was trading in exotic animals. They hand-reared the cub and named him Christian. Christian quickly became a local celebrity, and was often to be seen in the passenger seat of the pair’s open-topped Bentley. Realising the time was fast approaching for Christian to return to the wild, Bourke and Rendall’s chance meeting with Virginia McKenna of Born Free fame, led to Christian’s eventual release in Kenya in 1971.\n\nTechnical Specs:\n\nLanguages(s): English\nInteractive Menu\n\n Reviews There are no reviews yet.
