Elk Hair Caddis, Stimulator, and Royal Wulff are great general exploration flies on rivers and streams right through the day. The Adams, Irresistible, and March Brown are used when the mayflies are hatching. Beetle shaped patterns such as the Humpy and the Red Tag are excellent summer time exploration flies, fish the black ant on stormy days.
