Description This high-quality gas cylinder wrench is made from 3/8-inch thick steel and coated with manganese phosphate. It is an essential tool for safely securing the gas cylinder while removing the piston for periodic cleaning. Without this wrench, there’s a risk of over-torquing the gas cylinder, which can damage the internal splines and barrel slots. To remove the piston, use the wrench to hold the gas cylinder steady, and then use a 3/8-inch 6-point box wrench to unscrew the gas cylinder plug. Re-torque to 15 ft-lbs. The dual-purpose design includes a D-shaped hole that securely holds the small end of the piston in place during cleaning. CNC machined, the wrench is engineered to fit all original USGI M14 and most commercial M1A gas cylinders.
