Galkyd Lite Oil Painting Medium – GamblinGamblin Galkyd Lite is formulated to thin oil colours and maintain strong flexible paint films. It will leave brush strokes in thicker layers and allow a longer working time (approximately 3hrs). Glazes are slightly less glossy than those made with traditional mediums or Galkyd.Galkyd Lite is more fluidy and less glossy compared to Galkyd. Thin layers will be touch-dry in 24 to 30 hours.Galkyd Lite is different from Galkyd because it is formulated to have a lower viscosity. The viscosity of Galkyd Lite is very similar to that of a traditional damar/refined linseed oil/turpentine painting medium.
