Description Composition: Chlorpheniramine Maleate (2 mg/5 ml): An antihistamine that helps reduce allergy symptoms like sneezing and runny nose. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (10 mg/5 ml): A cough suppressant that acts on the brain’s cough center to reduce the urge to cough. Phenylephrine (5 mg/5 ml): A decongestant that narrows the blood vessels in the nasal passages, leading to reduced swelling and congestion. Indications: Alkof Junior Syrup is primarily used for: Relieving dry cough Alleviating nasal congestion Reducing symptoms of the common cold Managing allergic rhinitis Dosage & Administration: Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours. Children aged 6 to 12 years: 5 ml every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours. Children aged 2 to 6 years: 2.5 ml every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 6 doses in 24 hours. Shake the bottle well before use. Measure the prescribed dose using a proper measuring device. It can be taken with or without food. Side Effects: Common side effects may include: Drowsiness Dizziness Dry mouth Nausea or vomiting Headache Loss of appetite Blurred vision If any of these persist or worsen, consult your healthcare provider.
